Things to look for: any lone swimmer · any swimmer in distress (lying still, exaggerated movements) · anyone at poolside eating and drinking (not allowed) · unruly behaviour (running, jumping in, diving, disturbing other guests). Pool checks must be done at poolside only. Maximum 38 people.

Controller vs sample
Drop test — turn flow off on pool and spaReading should fall to 0.01 in 60 seconds. If free chlorine drops by more than 1.0 on the controller after 1 minute = calibrate. Free chlorine ±1 ppm (controller vs sample) = standardise. pH ±0.3 (controller vs sample) = standardise pH.

Langelier Index — remember to use the FACTOR reading for the calculation. Target L.I. 0.1 – 0.5. If outside parameters, inform the LCM.
